Montenegro: The band NeonoeN to Eurovision 2025 with 'Clickbait'

  • The band NeonoeN have won the national final in Montenegro and will be flying the flag for the Balkan nation singing 'Clickbait' in Basel. 

    Montesong 2024 was the national final format used by Montenegro's broadcaster, RTCG, to determine their representative at Eurovision 2025, which will be their returning year after an absence of two years. 

    The national final took place Voco Hall in Podgorica under the guidance of Danijel Alibabić, who  represented Montenegro and Serbia back at Eurovision 2005 as member of the band No Name. Marko Todorović and Eurovision 2022 entrant Vladana Vučinić co-hosted the show

    The show saw 16 acts taking the stage while the outcome was decided by a combination of jury and public voting (50% share each). The 16 contestants performed in the following running order: 

    1. Anastasija Koprolčec – “Kraj” (The end)
    2. Tina Džankić – “Nova” (New)
    3. Nemanja Petrović – “Među zvijezdama” (Among the stars)
    4. Bend 9 – “Stop war”
    5. Tamara Živković – “Poguban let” (Fatal flight)
    6. Luka Radović – “Kada dođe maj” (When May comes)
    7. Đurđa – “To ljubav je” (That’s love)
    8. Kejt – “Obala raja” (Coast of paradise)
    9. Nina Žižić – “Dobro došli” (Welcome)
    10. Neonoen – “Clickbait”
    11. Isak Šabanović- “Ljeto, ljeto, ljeto” (Summer, summer, summer)
    12. Glumci Bend – “San” (Dream)
    13. Dolce Hera – “Repeat”
    14. Baryak – “Dva srca” (Two hearts)
    15. Verica Čuljković – “Čuješ li” (Do you hear?)
    16. Milena Vučić – “Škorpija” (Scorpio)

    During the show Montenegro's Eurovision 2014 participants Sergej Ćetković and his iconic Moj svijet, graced the stage  followed by the 2013 Eurovision winner Emmelie de Forest (Denmark, Eurovision 2013) with Only teardrops was also a member of the jury. 

     

    The results

    The results was determined by a combination of jury and public voting. Nina Zizic was the jury's favorite entry receiving a total of 59 poiints ( which was turned into 12 points )  while the band Neonoen came second in the jury voting collecting 54 points (which were turned into 10 points) .  However, once the public votes were added in the outcome declared winners the band Neonoen who got also 10 points by the public while Nina received 7 points not enough to secure her ticket to Basel.

    About NeonoeN

    The band consists of Ilija Pejović lead guitar player , Filip Vulanović bass player Milan Vujović drums player and of Marko Vukčević as leading vocalist.
    All band members have been active musicians on the local scene for a long time. As far as NeonoeN goes they have played together few years. Ilija and Marko are founders of the band and started in the beginning in 2012. The band was first named Neon and did their first four singles before they decided to change name to NeonoeN. Their newest single is “Dok ne udahnem te (Until I breathe you in)”  and is the first song under the new name.
