THE INTERVAL ACTS

The show went on with the interval acts. As earlier this year the Eurovision Song Contest was cancelled and has been so missed by the fans, the Polish broadcaster decided to invite back on stage the winner of Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv, Duncan Laurence, bringing us a little bit of Eurovision on the JESC stage in Warsaw. Duncan Laurence performed his winning song ‘Arcade’ joined by the last two Junior Eurovision winners Viki Gabor and Roksana Węgiel.

While the online voting was still in progress, the stage saw teenage dancers performing in full motion a modern jazz routine, thanking at the end the people of all different professions for their daily efforts and making live what this year's slogan "Move the World" is all about.

Next on stage we watched Alicja Szemplińska the Polish ESC 2020 hopeful perform her Eurovision entry 'Empires' which never reached the Eurovision stage in Rotterdam as the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Just before the voting results were announced the custommary common performance of the competing acts took place with the 12 participants performing this year’s Common Song, named after this year’s slogan Move The World.

THE RESULTS

While the online voting determines the 50% of the overall result the other 50% is been determined by the national juries, formed by three adults and two children. The juries had the chance to watch all performances in yesterday's jury final and their votes were revealed first in today's live show, with the appointed spokespersons announcing the 12 points and the rest from 1-10 followed.

Once the national juries' votes were in, the result saw Valentina from France top the scoreboard, followed by Kazakhstan's Karakat Bashanova in second place and Belarus coming third.

Further on it was time for the results from the online voting, with more than 4,5 million votes determining the other 50% of the result. Once the online votes were added in, the overall score declared winner Valentina from France leaving in second place Kazakhstan and with Solea from Spain closing the top 3 places.

For the story Valentina achieved to top both votings, jury and public voting reaching the very impressive total of 200 points ! Specifically the French talented act came also first in the online voting with 112 points leaving second Solea from Spain with 73 points while Karakat from Kazakhstan came third with 69 points. The top 5 closed with Unity in the 4th place and 64 points while Belarus came 5th with 57 points.

Therefore France is the winner of Junior Eurovision 2020 with Valentina and her entry 'J'imagine'. Congratulations to France and Valenting for their victory!!
