Eurovision 2022: This was the Turquoise Carpet Opening Ceremony

  • The Eurovision week has officially opened with the Turquoise Carpet Opening Ceremony taking place on Sunday afternoon at Venaria Reale in Turin.

    The Turquoise carpet welcomed the 40 delegations of this year's Eurovision Song Contest that have travelled to Turin having their moment to shine in their elegant formal outfits, as they took the walk along the carpet. 

    During the Turquoise event,  the competing acts fo the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest were able to meet and greet the present press media outlets and the fans. Also the attendng artists were interviewed live by the hostst Gabriele Corsi, Mario Acampa and Carolina Di Domenico.

    In addtion, at the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Turin, and officials from the hosting broadcaster, RAI, the City of Turin and Italy officially welcomed the delegations and the competing acts marking the beginning of the Eurovision 2022 week.
