Israel: Michael Ben David will be present in Turin

  • The Israeli Eurovision 2022 hopeful. Michael Ben David, will be present in Turin to perfrom his entry I'M on stage. 

    Just a couple of week before it came as a shock to read KAN's intention of not flying to Turin due to lack of security guarantees for the delegation. 

    The Israeli broadcaster had decided not to take part in the contest tin Turin due to the strike at the Israeli Minstry of Foreign Affairs which afftected the smooth implementation of the safety protocols for the Israeli delegation.

    Sepcifically, the broadcaster had stated: 

    As of now, due to the Ministry of Foreign affairs strike, that affects the security protocols, the Israeli delegation will not attend the Eurovision in Turin. 

     

    Problem solved

    Eventually the problem seems to be solven with KAN announcing : 

    The company thanks the Shin Bet for its efforts to work for a solution for the security issues despite the difficulty, and we are confident that Michael Ben-David will represent Israel with dignity on the world stage.

    The Israeli delegation will be provided security from the Isreli side along with one by the Italian private security, securing that the delegations has all the guarantees of safe participation. 

     

    A few words for Michael

    Michael, 25, from Petah Tikva, a city located east from the city of Tel-Aviv. He says of himself that he has an exaggerated and extreme personality despite his suffering as a child with a high-pitched voice, who was told as a child how terrible his voice is. His song is an anthem for self-esteem and respecting yourself as it is. 

    Michael will will perform his song 'I.M' 2nd in  the second semi-final set for May 12 in Turin, Italy.
