Slovenia: LPS drop the studio version of their song for Turin 'Disko'

  • The Slovenian Eurovision representatives, the group LPS ( Last Pizza Slice) have released the studio version of their entry for Turin titled 'Disko'. 

    Back in February the group LPS (Last Pizza Slice) won the natioanl selection of EMA 2022 and secured their spot in the class of 2022 in Eurovision with their song 'Disko'. 

    Notably Zala Velensek, member of the group and17 years old is the youngest participant of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, whiel two more  group members  Filip Vidusin and Gasper Hliupic are also in the top 5 of the younger ESC 2022 participants. 

    While so far we had the chance to listen to the version we saw taking part in EMA Fres 2022 and the national final now they have released now the studio version of their song 'Disko' which is available on all digital platforms.

    The Slovenian hopefuls will be performing 'Disko' in the 5th place of the first semi-final show on May 10, 2022 in Turin. 

     

     

    A few word for LPS

    The group LPS (Last Pizza Slice)  is a group formed by Filip Vidusin (vocals), Gapser Hlupic (drums), Mark Semeja (electric guitar), Zala Valensek (bass guitar, tenor and alto saxophone) Ziga Zvizej (electronic keyboards) and was created in December 2018 in the music room of Gimnazija Celje Center.The group has achieved a number of participations in local competition with remarkable results.  

    They are the current winners of 'Centrovizija' where they performed their first song "Irregularities". In Ljubljana's competition Spli Liga, the first league of student bands, they won the first place in the preselection according to the jury and made it all the way to the finals.Also the were in the top 3 group in the Stresi oder competition and selected in the top 15 groups at Sourock in Maribor

    Their repetoire includes a mix of soul-pop, funk, blues, rock and jazz. Initially the band presented non-commercial arrangements of commercial hits, but now the strive for original music.
