Tonight: Four Grand finals and three semi-final national selection shows take place

Four countries are deciding this evening for Eurovision 2022 while three more hold semi-final rounds of their national selections.
With the national selection season for Eurovision 2022 just a week away from concluding, four more nations are determining this evening their Eurovision 2022 hopefuls while three more are holding semi-final rounds.
Namely, Serbia, Denmark, Romania and France are holding their final shows in order to select their Eurovision act and entry, while in Sweden, Iceland and Portugal semi-final rounds are set to take place.
Lets go and check one by one tonight's national selections shows:
Denmark – Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022 – Final (20:00 CET)
Denmark will be selecting once again their Eurovision representative via the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix show, which next year is set to take place at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning.
The show will be hosted for a second time by the duo Tina Müller and Martin Brygmann, who presented also last year's edition.
A total of 8 contestants will take the stage appearing in the following running order:
- Patrick Dorgan – Vinden suser ind
- Conf3ssions – Hallelujah
- Der Var Engang – En skønne dag
- Fuld Effekt – Rave med de hårde drenge
- Josie, Elinor, Jack Warren – Let me go
- Morten Fillipsen – Happy Go Lucky
- REDDI – The Show
- Juncker – Kommet for at blive

Results
The outcome of the final will be determined in two rounds of voting. In the first round of voting during the TV show the songs are reduced from eight to three. The three songs, which go on to the second round of voting are selected entirely by public voting.
In the second round of voting, the vote is reset and the winner is found out of the three remaining songs.

Romania - Selectia Nationala 2022 - Final (20:00 CET)
After receiving 94 submissions, a jury reviewed all the entries and shorlisted 45 songs progressed to the two phase semifinal round. Eventually after one withdrawal 44 acts went into a jury and public voting. Five qualifiers were selected by an online voting held within 24 hours, while fifteen qualifiers were selected by a jury. From the semifiinals 10 acts secured a spot in the Grand final of Selectia Nationala.
This evening's final show will be presented by Eda Marcus and Aurelian Temișan, while Bogdan Stănescu and Ilinca Băcilă will be giving all the feedback from the Green room.
The 10 acts to compete for the ticket to Turin are:

- Claudia, Minodora, Diana – “România mea”
- Dora Gaitanovici – “Ana”
- Gabriel Basco – “One night”
- Kyrie Mendél – “Hurricane”

The result of the final will be influenced 5/6 by a jury and 1/6 by public televoting.
Besides the competing part a total of seven Eurovision 2022 acts selected already will perform live their entries during the national final. Namely these are:
- Ronela Hajati (Albania)
- Intelligent Music Project (Bulgaria)
- We Are Domi (Czech Republic)
- Stefan (Estonia)
- Zdob și Zdub (Moldova)
- Vladana (Montenegro)
- Andrea (North Macedonia)
Special guest will be Ukraine's Jamala who has won the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with her song '1944'.

Sweden – Melodifestivalen 2022 – 5th Semi-Final (20:00 CET)
Sweden’s quest for its Eurovision 2022 representative continues this Saturday with the fifth and last semi-final of “Melodifestivalen 2022” the previously called second chance rounds.
“Melodifestivalen 2022” consists of 5 semi-final rounds and the grand final to be held on March 12. A total of 28 acts take part in this year’s edition, with 7 acts to compete in each of the first four semi-final rounds.
In tonight's fifth heat which will take place in Stockholm will see competing a total of 8 acts which are split in two groups of four. The first two acts with the highest result advance to next week's grand final.
Specifically the two groups are:
First Group
- Tone Sekelius – My Way
- Alvaro Estrella – Suave
- Danne Stråhed – Hallabaloo
- Anna Bergendahl – Higher Power
Second Group
- Theoz – Som du vill
- Lisa Miskovsky – Best to come
- Lillasyster – Till our days are over

Iceland – Söngvakeppnin 2022 – 2nd Semi-Final (20:45 CET)
The Icelandic national selection for Eurovision 2022 continues this evening with the second semi final of Söngvakeppnin 2022.
Iceland are selecting their Eurovision 2022 through the show of Söngvakeppnin 2022 after a year's break with the internall selection of Dadi Freyr. A total of 160 songs were submitted during the submssion period, which marks a new record number for the national selection and could easily be justified by last year's successful participation in Rotterdam.
A special committee shorlisted 10 entries that are competing in the national selection, which will consist of two semifinals and one grand final show. Five acts compete in each semi final heat with the public voting to determine two qualifiers from each semi final. In addition the jury will choose one more entry to advance to the final show from the non-qualifiers of the semifinals.
The second set of five contestants to compete in this evening's 2nd semi final show are:
- Hanna Mia and the Astrotourists – “Séns með þér” (See you soon) / “Gemini”
- Katla – “Þaðan af” (From there) / “Then again”
- Markéta Irglová – “Mögulegt” (Possible) / “Possible”
- Reykjavikurdaetur – “Tökum af stað” (Let’s get started) / “Turn this around”
- Suncity and Sanna – “Hækkum í botn” (Let’s go to the bottom)
You can listen to all the 2nd semi-final entries of the Icelandic national selection for Eurovision 2022 RUV's website. Björg Magnúsdóttir, Jón Jónsson and Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir will have the honor to host the first semi final show.

France – Eurovision France: C’est vous qui décidez (21:05 CET)
France is holding this evening its Eurovision 2022 natioanl final using the last year's format selection of ‘Eurovision France: c’est vous qui décidez’ . Alike the past national finals of Destination Eurovision which unfolded in several shows in 2018 and 2019, 'Eurovision France, it's you who decide' takes place in only one evening.
The show will be hosted by Laurence Boccolini and Stéphane Bern who will be returning to present us the 2022 French national final.
A total of 12 acts will compete in the national final and battle for the right to represent France at Eurovision 2022. The 12 acts have been selected via auditions that were held at the Apollo Théâtre in Paris.
Namely the 12 acts and songs running for Eurovision 2022 are:

- Cyprien -Ma famille
- Elia - Téléphone
- Elliott - La Tempête
- Hélène in Paris - Paris mon amour
- Joan - Madame

- Saam - Il est où
- Soa - Seule
The national selection show is produced and directed by Julian Gutierrez and Stéphane Bohée, while Florian Guiot is the Project Manager. Alexandra Redde-Amiel remains in her position as the the Head of the French Delegation.
The result
The final outcome of the national final will be determined by a combination of public (50%) and jury voting (50%) over three rounds of voting. In the first round, public voting will select five songs to advance to the final round. In the second round, the in-studio jury will select one song that was not selected by the public to qualify the final round. In the third and final round, a combination of jury voting (50%) and public voting (50%) will select the French Eurovision 2022 hopeful.

Serbia – Pesma za Evroviziju ’22 – Final (21:05 CET)
The Grand final of the Serbian national selection for Eurovision 2022 is taking place this evening in order to determine the country's Eurovision representative and entry.
RTS this year, is selecting the Serbian Eurovision representative through the show Pesma za Evroviziju ’22 (Song for Eurovision '22) which is successing 'Beovizija' as the national selection format. A total of 36 acts and songs are taking part in this year's national selection which unfolds over three nights, two semi final rounds on March 3 and 4 followed by a Grand final show on March 5, 2022.
18 contestants competed in each semi final round with 9 of them qualifiying to the Grand final show. Following the first semi-final show and the second semi final heat, this evening the Grand final is taking place in RTS studios in Košutnjak, Belgrade.
Dragana Kosjerina and Jovan Radomir hosted the show while Kristina Radenković and Stefan Popović were backstage giving all the feedback from the performers.
The 18 acts to compete in tonight's Grand final are:

The outcome of the final will be determined by public and jury voting (50%-50%).

Portugal – Festival da Canção 2022 – 1st Semi-Final (22:00 CET)
The Portuguese national selection kicks off this evening with the first semi final show of Festival da Canção taking place in Lisbon.
Portugal will be using once again its tradional national selection format of Festival da Canção which will be running for its 56th edition. A total of 20 composers are behind the competing entries of Festival da Canção 2022 the names of which have been released by RTP. From those 16 were invited directly by RTP while the rest four were selected by the public submissions.
The 1st semi final show will take place in RTP studios in Lisbon and will be hosted by Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel.
A total of 10 acts will compete in this first semi final heat in the following running order:
- Os Quatro e Meia –“Amanhã” (Tomorrow)
- TheMisterDriver – “Calisun”
- Diana Castro – “Ginger Ale”
- FF – “Como É Bom Esperar Alguém” (How good it is to wait for someone)
- Norton – “Hope”
- Aurea – “Why?”
- Kumpania Algazarra – “A Minha Praia” (My beach)
- Maro – “saudade, saudade” (Longing, longing)
- Valas & Os Astronautas – “Odisseia” (Odyssey)
- Fado Bicha – “Povo pequenino” (Tiny people)
Out of the 10 competing acts five of them will secure a spot in the Grand final set to take place on March 12.
