  • The Spanish broadcaster, RTVE, has expressed their will to host Eurovision 2023 in case the winning country of Eurovision 2022, Ukraine, couldn't organise the event.

According to eurovision-spain.com report, RTVE has offered for Spain to host Eurovision 2023 after Ukraine's victory in this edition. This has been confirmed by María Eizaguirre after the grand final of Eurovision on the program of La 1. Speaking on behalf of the Spanish broadcaster she stated:

Supporting Ukraine in everything in that organization, in case they needed it, they would also be willing to host the next edition of Eurovision"

At the moment it is too early to know which will be the next Eurovision hpst country. The process will begin in the coming weeks with the first meetings between representatives of the EBU and Ukrainian television, UA:PBC.

After the victory of the Kalush Orchestra, the country's president himself, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, showed his interest in hosting the festival in the country. In this case Kiev will be leaving the road open for Mariupol “in peace and rebuilt” to welcome the next Eurovision Song Contest as he stated.

In this year's Eurovision Grand final Kalush Orchestra achieved to bring to Ukraine their 3rd trophy in their history with their song 'Stefania'. The Ukrainian hopefuls, came 4th in the Jury voting with 192 points but received a massive number of 439 points by the public vote and topped the overall scoreboad with a total of 631 points.
