Spain: RTVE withdraws interest in hosting Eurovision 2023

The Spanish national broadcaster, RTVE, has withdrawn their interes in hosting the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023.
Change of direction for RTVE which following Ukraine's victory had expressed interest to host the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in case Ukraine was unable to host the next contest.
Accordng to the the president of RTVE, Mr. Jose Manuel Perez Tornero speaking to El Faro de Vigo stated on the Spanish interest in hosting the next Eurovision:
We don’t want to just stay with the mirage of a good result, we will try to win next year. We were also interested in organizing the Eurovision 2023 contest, but if Ukraine resigns, the BBC will organize it.
According to this statement RTVE has left behind the idea of hosting the next Eurovision Song Contest and is directing all forces to score a victory for Spain in the 2023 edition.
While the Ukrainian national broadcaster UA:PBC along with local officials stating ready to host next year's Eurovision, EBU which is in talks with the broadcaster and assessing the situation in Ukraine and the circumstances the ongoing war has caused there, is expected to announce over the following days where things are heading.
