In 2020 Gjon's Tears was set to represent the country with “Répondez-moi” but saw his Eurovision journey stay finish early as the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic.

In 2021 Gjon's Tears was invited back to repesent the country in Rotterdam with his entry “Tout L’Univers” which he performed in the second semi final on May 20, 2021 qualifying to the Grand final. The Swiss hopeful topped the jury voting scoreboard and finished eventually in the honorable 3rd place in the overall score with 432 points.
