Austria: Kaleen releases her song for Eurovision 2024 'We will rave'
Friday, 01 March 2024

  • Kaleen, Austria's Eurovision 2024 hopeful has dropped her song for Malmo, titled 'We will rave'.

While the dominating techno sound in the 90's is back for good in the music industry,  Kaleen's Eurovision 2024 entry macthes that conclusion.

The Austrian representative at Eurovision 2024 has released her song she will be delivering on the stage in Malmo Arena ans is ready to bring the party in the arean and convey it through the screen worldwide.

The 29 year-old native of Upper Austria will be representing our country at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, where she will be performing her techno-inspired pop track "We Will Rave".

    Kaleen explains about her song:

"‘We Will Rave‘ is my perfect Eurovision Song. It allows me to combine everything I love, and to get carried away with the audience. The song is adaptable for everyone. ‘We Will Rave’ can become We Will Dance, We Will Sing, We Will Live, We Will Party.... It is powerful and positive, even though you might be fighting through something at the moment. It’s supposed to enhance a life-loving state of mind and getting lost in a moment. I am extremely looking forward to performing this along with the fans! Now that the song is officially out, it has become even more real to me, and I am beyond excited about the journey! Having a techno pop track is different from my discography up until now. I look forward to Kaleen’s new chapter.”

    And goes on saying:

"‘We Will Rave‘ is about needing a place of refuge when your heart is broken, and finding it in music. The rave is where the outsiders and wounded souls go to heal and dissolve their problems through music. It’s the sea of rhythm that washes the pain away and gives us salvation.”

    A few words for Kaleen

Kaleen is a multifaceted artist who has been successful both as a singer and a dancer. Though she self-taught herself how to sing, she later fine-tuned her skills through formal singing education. Dancing has been a part of Kaleen's life since early childhood, and she has perfected a whole repertoire of styles including ballet, commercial, tap-dancing, jazz, musical, modern, Latin, and ballroom. She won her first national dance championship at the age of seven, followed by more than 100 national, European and five world championship titles, and various special awards.

Kaleen has been working as a choreographer and stage coach since 2020, among others for ORF's "Starmania" casting show. She taught herself how to professionally record and produce songs. The first self-produced single came out in September 2021 under her own label, "Wifi Records". After three more singles, Kaleen took the bold step to write and record a complete album. Her debut album "Stripping Feelings" was released in September 2023.
