Eurovision 2024: Semi-finals running order revealed

  • The EBU and the Eurovision hosting broadcaster, SVT, have revealed the running order of the two semi-final shows of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.

    The running order in which the 31 competing countries will appear in the two semi-final show in May 7 and 9 have been unveiled. In addition we must not forget that in this year's semifinals the Big-5 countries will have the chance to introduce themselves performing live too between the competing artists. 

    Thus, this is how the running order for the two semi-finals looks like: 

     

    Semi-final One

    The show will open Cyprus' Silia Kapsis perforning 'Liar' while Luxembourg will close the show with Tali singing 'Fighter'.  United Kingdom will be appearing after the 4th song (Irelands) while the host country will appear on stage after the 11th entry (Moldova).

    Semi-final Two

    The sescond semi-final will open with Malta's delegate Sarah Bonnici singing 'Loop' while the show will close with the Dutch entrant Joost and the song 'Europapa'. The three Big-5 countries, France , Spain and Italy will appear after the 5th (Czechia), 9th (Latvia) and 13th (Estonia) competing entry respectively.

    Eurovision 2024

    Following Loreen's victorious participation with 'Tatoo' in Liverpool last year , the next contest will be taking place in Malmo. Sweden.Malmö will host the contest for the third time, having previously hosted in 1992 and 2013.

    Eurovision 2024 is set to unfold on May 7, 9 with the two semifinals and on May 11 with the Grand final in Malmo Arena. A total of 37 countires will be participating in the 68th edition . 

    In this year's edition EBU established the slogan 'United by Music' as the permanent slogan of the contest while 'Eurovision Light' is the title of the 2024 contest's theme art.
