Germany: It's Isaak with 'Always on the run' for Eurovision 2024

Isaak Guderian is the winner of the German national final for Eurovision 2024 and will be flyging to Malmö with the song 'Always on the run'.
A total of nine acts took part in the national final tonight for the right to represent Germany at Eurovision 2024 in Malmo, Sweden in May.
In the run-up to the event, NDR had nominated eight candidates to sing for the ticket to Malmö in the show "Eurovision Song Contest - The German Final 2024": Galant, Isaak, Leona, Bodine Monet, Max Mutzke, NinetyNine, Marie Reim and Ryk. The ninth and last free place in the national final was awarded by the audience on February 8 in the show "I want to go to the ESC! - The Decision" when Floryan secured the last competing spot via tele- and online voting, prevailing over Anne Im and Luca M. Wefes.
Barbara Schöneberger hosted the show, welcoming several guests. Namely, last year's participants Lord Of The Lost appeared on the show, the multiple former ESC participant Mary Roos, entertainer Riccardo Simonetti, pop star Florian Silbereisen, singer Alli Neumann as well as the "Ich will zum ESC!" -Coaches Conchita Wurst and Rea Garvey.
The nine contestants took to the stage in the following running order:

Leona – “Undream you”
Isaak Guderian – “Always on the run”
GALANT – “Katze”
Floryan – “Scars”
Bodine Monet – “Tears like rain”
RYK – “Oh boy”
Marie Reim – “Naiv”
Max Mutzke – “Forever strong”
The result
The outcome of the final wAS determined by a combination of public voting anD jury voting, with a 50% share eacch on the results. Eight international juries took part in the vote, counting for 50% with the rest 50% coming from the public. The international juries consisted of the following countries:
- Austria
- Croatia
- Iceland
- Lithuania
- Spain
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom

Once the other 50% of the results from the public voting was added in Isaak maintained his lead by topping the public vote also and won the ticket to the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Isaak Guderian (born 1996), known mononymously as Isaak, is a German singer and musical theater actor. Guderian was born in early 1996 to an Icelandic mother and a German father.He grew up in Porta Westfalica and lives in Espelkamp, both in North Rhine-Westphalia. He is married and has two sons.
Guderian began his musical career as a street musician with a band.In 2011, he took part in the TV talent show X Factor with a version of the Oasis hit "Wonderwall" He won Show Your Talent in 2021.
