Ireland: Bambie Thug releases the official music video of their Eurovision 2024 entry ‘Doomsday Blue’.

Ireland's Eurovision 2024 hopefuls, Bambie Thug, have released the music video of her entry for Malmo 'Doomsday Blue'.
Bambie Thug secured the right to represent Ireland at Eurovision 2024 after winning the Irish national final of Eurosong 2024 singing 'Doomsday Blue'. They had topped the Irish jury and the public vote]ing and came third in the international jury vote.
The official music video of the Irish entry has been directed by Kassandra Powell and produced by Sergio Jaen.
A few words for Bambie Thug
Bambie Ray Robinson (born 6 March 1993), known by their stage name Bambie Thug, is an Irish singer-songwriter. They are known to mix numerous genres in their music, coining their own term, "ouija-pop", out of disdain for being put into one genre. Robinson's music has been inspired by various subjects, including breakups, witchcraft, and drug addiction.
Robinson was first credited in music in 2020 as a featured artist on the Fike and Fabich song "Mean", which was released on 26 June 2020.Robinson released their debut single, "Birthday", on 5 March 2021.
Ireland in Eurovision
Ireland is a country of records when it comes to the Eurovison Song Contest. It has participated 55 times since making its debut at the 1965 contest in Naples and has won the competition 7 times, more than any other country. (1970, 1980, 1988, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996). It is the only country that has won the contest three successive years (1992, 1993, 1994) while Dublin is the only city to have hosted the event two consecutive years. (1994,1995).
During the decade of 90’s the country had a row of 4 vicotries in a 5 year time (1993, 1994, 1995 and 1997) and Dublin became host city three times.Irish act Johnny Logan is the only one to have won the contest twice (1980, 1987).
In 2022, Brooke won the national final 'Eurosong 2022' with her song 'That's Rich' which competed in the second semi-final in Turin without achieving to reach the Grand final. Last year 'Wild Youth' won the national final with the song 'We are one' and defended the Irish colors in Liverpool. However the band didn't make it to the finals.
