Malta: Sarah Bonici wins MESC 2024 and will fly the flag at Eurovision 2024

Malta decided to send Sarah Bonici with the song 'Loop' to Eurovision 2024 in Malmo the upcoming May.
After two months with four semifinals and a week of presentation of the 12 finalists the Maltese selection for Eurovision 2024 , Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024', concluded this evening with the Grand final show.
The 12 competing acts appeared on stage as following:
- Janvil – “MAN”
- Haley Azzopardi – “Tell Me That It’s Over”
- Erba – “Sirena”
- Nathan – “Ghost”
- Lisa Gauci – “Breathe“
- Sarah Bonnici – “Loop”
- Greta Tude – “Topic (Bla Bla)”
- Miriana Conte – “Venom”
- Ryan Hili – “Karma”
- Gail – “Wildcard”
- Denise – “Mara”
- Matt Blxck – “Banana”
The results
The results were determined by a contribution of public and jury voting.
Jury voting
Sarah Bonici won the jury vote with Ryan Hill coming second and Matt Blxck in third place.

Public voting
The public voting saw Matt Blxck topping the televoting score with 29 points which weren't enough though to give him the lead on the overall scoreboard. Sarah Bonici received 23 points which in combination with the 79 points of the jury voting brought her in first place declaring here the winner of MESC 2024.

Sarah Bonici will be representing Malta at Eurovision 2024 singing 'Loop' in the first half half of the second semi-final in May 9.
