Norway: Gåte with “Ulveham” wins Melodi Grand Prix '24 and is off to Malmö

Gåte singing “Ulveham” (Wolf man) won the Norwegian national final of Melodi Grand Prix 2024 and will be flying to Malmo.
The Norwegian national selection concluded this evening with the Grand final of Melodi Grand Prix which saw the band Gåte crowned winners and will be representing Norway at Eurovision 2024.
A total of nine contestant took the stage and performed their songs aiming to win the ticket to Malmo, Sweden. Namely the competing acts of the night were:
- KEiiNO –Damdiggida
- Annprincess – Save Me
- GOTHMINISTER – We Come Alive
- Ingrid Jasmin – Eya
- MIIA – Green Lights
- Margaret Berger – Oblivion
- Dag Erik Oksvold & Anne Fagermo – Judge Tenderly of Me
- Gåte –Ulveham
- Super Rob & Erika Norwich – My Ai
The results
The result wass influenced 40% by an international jury while the rest 60% was determined by a public voting via the NRK app.
International jury
The international jury was made up from the following countries: United Kingdom, Finland, Switzerland, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Denmark, The Netherlands, Iceland, Czechia and Sweden. This is how the results come out when the votes were in:

The overall results
The public vote followed to compete the overall score which declared winners Gåte with “Ulveham” (Wolf man) leaving second behind KEiiNO who although they topped the jury voting didn't manage to maintain their lead.
- Gåte – Ulveham 250 points (174 from public voting)
- KEiiNO – Damdiggida 244 points (146 points from public voting)
- Super Rob & Erika Norwich – My Ai 165 points
- GOTHMINISTER – We Come Alive 115 points
- Dag Erik Oksvold & Anne Fagermo – Judge Tenderly of Me 105 points
- MIIA – Green Lights 76 points
- Margaret Berger – Oblivion 45 points
