Andorra: ESC 2009 act Susanne Georgi puts secured funds on the table for a Eurovision 2021 comeback

-
While the Andorran national broadcaster, RTVA, is showing no intentions of a Eurovision 2021 comeback, former Eurovision star, Susanne Georgi, is putting a strong proposal on the table for the country's return in next year's competition.
Just a few days before the press department of Andorra's national broadcaster ruled out any Eurovision 2021 participation. A former Andorran ESC representative, Sussane Georgi, seems to opose this decision by claining that she has found secure funding so as the country can find its way back to the Eurovision family.
Susanne Georgi who was the last act to represent Andorra, at Eurovision 2009 with her song “La teva decisio (Get a Life)” .Under the hashtags #MyFight and #WeCanDoThisAndorra, is ready to open the path free in order for the country to make a comeback in the competition. Speaking to Euromovidas podcast, Susanne mentioned that last October, she had unfolded an offer before the Andorran president Xavier Espot and RTVA director Xavier Mujal and is waiting for them to answer back.
Although she doen't name the sponsor she mentions of a important country from where the funding come and doen't hesitate to refer to Sam Marino's state, another miscostate that is present in the competition.
And it seems that her initiative and proposal are starting to receive accpeptance and support by other past ESC stars, such as the Andorran ESC 2007 representative, Nick Gain — the leader of Eurovision 2007 punk-pop band Anonymous who sees more chances for a country like Andorra to qualify in the final with the current two semi final system. Anonymous has represented the microstate back in 2007 with their entry Salvem El Món, which finished 12th in the semi final.
Sussane Georgi has certainly stirrfed things up putting pressure on the broadcaster to think over its decision not to return in the competition.
The Story so Far
Andorra has taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest six times. It's first time was in the 2004 contest and participated every year until the 2009 edition. The majority of the competing songs were sung in Catalan, the national language of Andorra. Interest in the contest had been great for some time before 2004, despite the local Andorran broadcaster, Ràdio i Televisió d’Andorra (RTVA), not airing the contest until the early 2000s. Previously, citizens could watch it on either Spanish or French stations. Andorra’s best result in the contest was in 2007 when it came 12th in th semi final without advancing to the grand final.
Andorra’s last participation was in 2009 with Susanne Georgi who represented the country with the entry “La teva decisio (Get a Life)”.
