Estonia: Here are the six qualifiers of the Eesti Laul 2021 first semi final

  • The first semi final of Eesti Laul 2021 took place this evening determinng the first set of six qualifiers who will compete in the final show on March 6. 

     

    The Eesti Laul 2021 first semi final heat was held in Tallin at the  Saku Suurhall without audience attending the event due to the covid-19 restrictions. The show was hosted by  Tonis Niinemets and Grete Kuld.

     

     

     

    A total of 12 acts took to the stage and competed for six qualifying spots, the perfomances of which follow below: 

     

     

    1. Tanja – “Best Night Ever”  ( Timo Vendt, Tanja Mihhailova-Saar, Mihkel Mattisen)

     

    2. Hans Nayna – “One By One” (Vahur Valgmaa, Hans Nayna)

     

    3. Wiiralt – “Tuuled” (Winds) - (Pat Lyons, Martin Saaremägi)

     

    4. Kéa – “Hypnotized” (Ketter Orav, Sander Sadam, Alvar Antson, Karl-Mathias Saarse)

     

    5. Andrei Zevakin & Pluuto – “Wingman” (Andrei Zevakin, Henry Orlov) 

     

    6. Karl Killing – “Kiss Me” (by Karl Killing)

     

    7. Nika Marula – “Calm Down” (Andrei Zevakin, Nika Marula, Daniil Kotilevits)

     

    8. Egert Milder – “Free Again” (Kaspar Kalluste, Matteo Capreoli, Egert Milder)

     

    9. Tuuli Rand – “Üks öö”  (One Night) - (Gevin Niglas, Kristel Aaslaid, Tuuli Rand)

     

    10. Koit Toome – “We Could Have Been Beautiful”  (Joonas Parkkonen, Koit Toome, Peppina Pällijeff)

     

    11. Kristin Kalnapenk – “Find A Way” ( Kristin Kalnapenk, Hannes Agur Vellend)

     

    12. Ivo Linna, Robert Linna, Supernova – “Ma olen siin”  (I am here) -(Rainer Michelson, Robert Linna)

     

    The Results

    Two rounds of voting determined this evening's result.In the first round a combination of jury (50%) and public voting (50%) determined the first four qualifying acts which are: 

    • Karl Killing – “Kiss Me” 
    • Egert Milder – “Free Again” 
    • Ivo Linna, Robert Linna, Supernova – “Ma olen siin” 
    • Koit Toome – “We Could Have Been Beautiful”

    Notable that the jury  voted for the following four acts in this first round of voting: 

    • Koit Toome – “We Could Have Been Beautiful”
    • Nika Marula – “Calm Down”
    • Egert Milder – “Free Again”
    • Ivo Linna, Robert Linna, Supernova – “Ma olen siin”

    The remaining 8 contestants went through a second round of voting in which the audience exclusively voted for the two acts to join the first four qualifiers in the final show. 

    • Hans Nayna – “One By One”
    • Andrei Zevakin & Pluuto – “Wingman”

     

    The second set of six qualifiers will be determined by this Saturday's second semi final round during which we will see 12 more contestants take the stage.
