Eurovision 2021: First Rehearsal for Blind Channel from Finland

  • The rehearsals continue with Blind Channel from Finland making their first rehearsal of  "Dark Side" .

     Blind Channel is a six-piece rock band founded in Oulu in 2013 . Blind Channel, was a five-member band for a long time, but was strengthened last autumn with the sixth member Aleksi Kaunisveden joining the group.The band itself defines its music with the term “violent pop,” which the band has used since its inception. Blind Channel, which is creating an international career, has released a total of three studio albums, and in February 2018, the band was awarded the Rock of the Year nomination at the Finnish Emma Gala.

    The song has been penned by Aleksi Kaunisvesi, Joel Hokka, Joonas Parkkonen, Joonas Porko, Niko Moilanen, Olli Matela, Tommi Lalli, while behind the composition team are Niko Moilanen, Joel Hokka, Joonas Porko, Aleksi Kaunisvesi, Olli Matela.  The rock band won its way to Rotterdam after triumphing in the finnish national final UMK 2021. 

     

    The Staging

     Blind Channel's performance is dynamic from the first seconds with  black and red lights dominating the scene and  blue prevailing after.  The LED screen swtiches from one color to another   while in the background  figures are displays. On the bridge the stage is flooded with red colors while there are parallel LEDs that go along with the rhythm of the song. In the 3rd run fires rise aronnd the stage.
