  • Fourth day of rehearsals which kick off with the first rehearsal for Tornike Kipiani from Georgia who will be performing "You".

    First act to open the 4th day of rehearsals is Tornike Kipiani. He is a 32-year-old musician, the father of 3 children and a professional architect. In 2014, Tornike won the first season of X Factor Georgia, where his mentor was the future Georgian-Greek Cyprus Eurovision star, Tamta. In 2017, Tornike tried to represent Georgia at Eurovision with the industrial techno song, You Are My Sunshine.

    In 2019, he returned to Georgian Idol and  won the competition earning the right to represent Georgia at the 65th Eurovision Song Contest scheduled to take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Unfortunately, the contest was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak depriving Kipiani of the chance to perform on Rotterdam Ahoy’s stage.Tornike would have represented Georgia performing “Take me as i am. 

    The broadcaster invited him back for this year's contest where he'll be singing 'You', The song is a mix of rock, pop-rock and blues-rock. The lyrics of the entry are about the universal topic of love and was compose by himself. 

     

    The staging

    Tornike appears alone on stage, dressed ivery simple. The predominant colors of the stage are black and blue. The LED screen displays a number of clouds near to the act. Then the lyrics are projected on the artist's body and back to the LED screen in English and Georgian. Vocally he delivers the song really well conveying the atmospheric element of the enty. He's chances for qualifying are less but you never know.
