Eurovision 2021: First rehearsal for Victoria from Bulgaria

  • The fourth delegate to rehearse today was Victoria from Bulgaria who made the first rehearsal for 'Growing Up Is Getting Older'.

    This year Bulgaria decided to participate in Eurovision 2021 selecting last year's ESC representative, Victoria Georgieva. The young talented act, which was one of the bookies' favorite to win the 2021 contest, was set to choose this year's Eurovision entry out of one of the tracks included in her debut album titled "A little dramtic" .

    The Bulgarian 2021 entry was chosen among six entries that came out of the process taken place within the framework of The Black Sea Eurovision Song Writing Camp. 

     

    The Staging

    Victoria begins her performance sitting down on a platform resembling to a big rock while the background is in black. Sand seems to be falling, implying the time that passes and as if it were an island, with stars from behind and blue lights like the sea below the platform. She looks at a photo with her father, about whom the song talks about. In the last refrain the platform start to turn.

    Vocals are very good while Victoria manages to convey the atmosperic and sentimental character of the song to the audience. Her performance justifies her top-10 place in the betting odds.
