Eurovision 2021: Getty Kaspers and Lenny Kuhr confirmed as part of an interval act in Rotterdam

  • Lenny Kuhr, winner of the 1969 contest and Getty Kaspers, winner of the 1975 edition as the lead singer of Teach-In will  appear in one of the Eurovision 2021 interval acts in Rotterdam next May.

    Eurovision 2021 executive producer Sietse Bakker revealed, in an interview at Tijd Voor MAX , that a medley with former winners of the international contest will be part of one of the interval acts  of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

    Among those past ESC winners are included Lenny Kuhr who was won of the for winner in ESC 1969 representing The Netherlands with her song  "De troubadour" (lyrics by David Hartsema; orchestra conducted by Franz de Kok). In addition the second naem confimred as interval is Getty Kaspers, the leading vocalist of Teach-In who represented the host nation in ESC 1975 winning the competition with their song "Ding-a-Dong".

    Back in February 2020, the organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest had announced that the Grand Final would feature a medley with former Eurovision winners, having confirmed the participation of Gigliola Cinquetti (Italy 1964), Lenny Kuhr (Netherlands 1969) , Getty Kaspers (Netherlands 1975), Sandra Kim (Belgium 1986), Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan (Ireland 1994) and Alexander Rybak (Norway 2009). however there is no official confirmation that the whole line up of acts will be reinvited in this year's edition.
