Eurovision 2021: Second rehearsal for Efendi from Azerbaijan and Go_A from Ukraine

  • Eurovision 2021 rehearsals continued today at Rotterdam Ahoy with the Semi final 1 countries holding their second rehearsals.

    The 16 competing acts of the 2021 Eurovision First Semi-final will take the stage to make their second rehearsals and improve technically even more their staging. 

    The rehearsal week has been divided into two primary phases: From today and up to Tuesday 11/5 the first rehearsals of all competing countries into the two semi finals took place while from tomorrow Wednesday 12/5 till Saturday 15/5 the second reeharsals of all competing countries in the semi finals are held along with the first rehearsals of the Big-5 countries and the host nation. 

    The last two contestants that took the stage for their second rehearsal closing the 5th day of rehearsals were Efendi from Azerbaijan and the group Go_A from Ukraine.

    Efendi appears on stage for her second rehearsal that looks like the first one. Some slight adjustments to her dress but all the rest seem the same, with the viper displayed on the back ground while fire is added in the staging. Efendi seems more confident, sings more steadily and in control of her voicce and aong with her dancers give a energetic performance. 

     

     

    Ukraine - Go_A ( Shum)

    Go_A were the closing act for today's rehearsals, in which all semi final 1 countries held their second technical rehearsals. For health reasons, the leading singer Kateryna Pavlenko did not participate in the rehearsal today and in her place the stand-in singer sang, while the rest of the band appeared as planned. The setting is reminiscent of Slavic folklore. In the background we see human figures running towards the screen and the lighting is evocative. Wrapping up the Ukrainian participation, a really outstanding musical proposal that serves the course of diversity within the eurovision world.
