Moldova: Natalia Gordienko confirmed as the Eurovision 2021 hopeful

  • The Moldovan national broadcaster, TRM, will be sticking with its ESC 2020 act and has invited Natalia Gordienko to represent the nation at next year's Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.

    Natalia Gordienko will defend the Moldovan colors in Eurovision 2021 , adding one more country to the list of those who will contine with this year's hopeful. Natalia herserlf unveiled the news via her official Instagram account by writting in the introductive text that she  is the 2021 Eurovision Moldovan represetantative.

    Natalia Gordienko won the Moldovan national final with her entry ‘Prison‘. and was to represent Moldova in Eurovision 2020 but never reached the stage in Rotterdam as the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic. 

     

    Moldova in Eurovision 

    Moldova participated in Eurovision for the first time in 2005 and hasn’t missed a year since then. Its best results came in 2017 when Sunstroke Project with Hey Mama finished 3rd. In 2018 the country was represented by DoReDos anf their entry Lucky Day, which finished 10th in the final. In 2019 Anna Odobescu flew the flag in Tel Aviv performing her power ballad “Stay” but despite her amazing vocal performance didn’t make it to the grand final.
