Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2021 first semi final results

The first semi-final of the Swedish national selection, Melodifestivalen 2021, took place this evening determining the first two finalists and the first two spots of the second chance round.
The show took place at in Stockholm, at Annexet Arena, while hosts of the show were Christer Bjorkman joined by Lena Philipsson (Swedish Eurovision 2004 act with the song “It Hurts”).
A total of 7 acts took part in tonight’s first semi-final and performed live in the following order:
1. Kasiatou – “One Touch”

2. Lillasyster –“Pretender”

3. Jessica Anderson – “Horizon”

4.Paul Rey – “The Missing Piece”

5. Arvingarna – “Tänker inte alls gå hem”

6. Nathalie Brydolf – “Fingerprints”

7. Danny Saucedo – “Dandi dansa”

The voting process included two rounds, in which only the public voted. In the first round the first five with the most votes qualified to a second round of voting. The first two in the second round qualified directly to the final while the 3rd and 4th are heading to the Second Chance semi final
The first five acts that qualified in the second round of voting were:
1. Lillasyster –“Pretender”
2. Jessica Anderson – “Horizon”
3.Paul Rey – “The Missing Piece”
4. Arvingarna – “Tänker inte alls gå hem”
5. Danny Saucedo – “Dandi dansa”
The Two acts that made it directly to the final are:
1.Danny Saucedo – “Dandi dansa”
2. Arvingarna – “Tänker inte alls gå hem”
The 3rd and 4th in votes qualified for Andra Chansen semi final round on March 6. These two are:
1. Lillasyster –“Pretender”
2.Paul Rey – “The Missing Piece”
The acts that didn’t manage to win one of the qualifying spots are:
1. Kasiatou – “One Touch”
2. Jessica Anderson – “Horizon”
3. Nathalie Brydolf – “Fingerprints”
Melodifestivalen continues next Saturday, February 13 with the second set of 7 acts competing in the second semi final show in Stockholm.
