Bulgaria: Deni and Marti to Junior Eurovision 2021 with the song

  • The Bulgarian broadcaster, BNT, has confirmed that Deni & Marti will be the duo to represent the country at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris singing 'Voice of Love'.

    BNT have unveiled the acts that will represent Bulgaria at Junior Euroviosion 2021 on the country's comeback in the competition. Deni and Marti will have the honor to fly the flag in Paris on December 19 performing the song "Voice of Love" .

    The duo's entry has been composed by Linga Studios, a collaboration between Bulgarian and North Macedonian songwriters and producers among which Vasil Garvanliev (the North Macedonian act ofr ESC 2020 and 2021) along with Davor Yordanski, Vesna Malinova and Stan Stefanov.

     

    A few words for Deni and Marti

    The two of them have been performing and working together as an artistic duo for the last four years. They have both graduated from one of the best musical schools in the country, Sarandev Studio in Dobrich. Having started singing from the age of 5 they have taken part in several music festivals and therefore have already experienced big stages and audiences. 

    Denislava is 12 years old and love animals for which she spends part of her free time besides her friends. Marti is 13 years old, also loves animals but as he has stated enjoys even more reading books. 

     

    Bulgaria in Junior Eurovision 

    Bulgaria has entered the Junior Eurovision Song Contest six times, first entering in 2007. Bulgaria's first entry was Bon-Bon with "Bonbolandiya", which finished 7th at the 2007 contest in Rotterdam. Their second entry was Krestiana Kresteva with "Edna mechta", which finished 15th and last at the 2008 contest. The Bulgarian broadcaster BNT withdrew from the 2009 contest, and Bulgaria did not compete in the contest in Kiev or at the 2010 edition in Minsk. Bulgaria returned for the 2011 contest in Yerevan, then they took a break from the 2012 and the 2013 contests.

    Bulgaria returned for the 2014 edition in Malta, earning their best ever result in a Eurovision competition when Krisia, Hasan & Ibrahim placed second performing "Planet of the Children". In 2015 the country hosted the competition in Sofia while next year  Lidia Ganeva represented the nation in Valetta. This was the last to see of the country in the contest up to date.
