Kazakhstan: The 10 finalists of the Junior Eurovision 2021 national final determined

  • The 10 finalists that will compete in the Kazakh national final for Junior Eurovsion 2021 have been announced. 

    After receiving a total of 819 applications by young acts that ambition to represent the country in Junior Eurovision 2021, a  special jury of Khabar tv shorlisted 30 acts that went throung an online voting from which the 10 acts with most votes will compete in the national final show. 

     

    Namely, the 10 young talents that will battle for the ticket to Paris are:

    • Beknur Zhanibekuly
    • Amina Asgatova
    • Armen Saakyan
    • Alinur Khamzin
    • Ekaterina Tabarina
    • Zhan Makim
    • Alimzhan Tugelbai,
    • Abilkaiyr Zhumabai
    • Adina Sulenova


    This year as in the past the country’s top composers are to write 10 songs for the finalists to sing at the televised national final show that will take place on November 6, 2021, and will be be aired on Khabar TV channel. The outcome of the final will be determined by jury and public voting by 50% each. 

     

    Kazakhstan in Junior Eurovision 

    Kazakhstan debuted at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 after EBU’s invitation to broadcaster, Khabar Agency, to join the contest. The country was represented by the national final winner,  Daneliya Tuleshova and her entry “Ózińe sen” which finished in 5th place at the competition held in Minsk, Belarus. 

    In 2019 12-year-old Yerzhan Maksim defended the Kazakh colors in Gliwice- Silesia in Poland and after delivering a stunning vocally performance of his entry, Armanyńnan Qalma achieved to top the jury voting and finish 2nd ion the overall scoreboard.

    Last year Karakat Bashanova won the national final and represented the country with her song 'Forever' in Warsaw, Poland  achieving to finish 2nd with 152 points in the overall score.
