Albania: RTSH confirms Junior Eurovision 2021 participation

  • The Albanian national broadcaster, RTSH, has confirmed that they will be taking part in the upcoming Junior Eurovision in Paris next December. 

    RTSH has confirmed to Eurofestivales media outlet that the country will be returning to Junior Eurovision this year in Paris. The RTSH international relations department also confirmed that the broadcaster will announce more specific details about its participation in the coming days.

    Therefore, Albania marks the fifth country to be returning in this year's competition after Ireland's, North Macedonia's, Portugal's and Azerbaijan's comeback.

    Junior Eurovision 2021 is set to take place on December 19 in Paris at the La Seine Musicale  with a total of 15 countries already confirmed their participation. 

     

    Albania in Junior Eurovision

    Albania has been taking part in Junior Eurovision since 2012 and has missed out the edition in 2013 and 2014. The best result came in 2015 when the country finished 5th with Mishela Rapo singing Dambaje while the worst result was in 2019 with  Efi Gjika who finished 17th with her entry Barbie. The country withdrew last year from the competition in Warsaw.
