Albania: The results of Festivali i Këngës 60 first semi-final show

• Albania held this evening the first semi-final of the 60th edition of Festival i Këngës, kicking off the show that will determine the country's Eurovision 2022 rerpesentative. 

  The Albanian national selection for Eurovision 2022 commenced on Monday evening with the first semi final of Festival i Këngës 60 . 

  A total of 20 contestants competed in this evening's show, which was hosted by Ardit Gjebrea accompanied by Jonida Maliqi, Xhemi Shehu, Klevi Kadilli and Isli Islami.

   

  The 20 candidates took the stage in the following running order: 

   

   

  1.Kelly – “Meteor”

  2. Mirud – “Për dreq” (Damn)

   

  3. Urban Band – “Padrejtësi” (Injustice)

   

  4. Evi Reci – “Me duaj” (Love me)

   

  5. Kastro Zizo – “Kujë” (Mourn)

   

  6.Ester Zahiri – “Hiena” (Hyena) [Newcomers Category]

   

  7.Viola Xhemali – “Eja si erë” (Come as the wind) 

   

  8. Eldis Arrnjeti – “Refuzoj” (I refuse) [Newcomers Category]

   

  9. Kejsi Rustja – “Vallëzoj me ty” (I dance with you) 

   

  10. Xhuliana Pjetra – “Baladë” (Ballad)

   

  11. Olimpia Smajlaj – “Dua” (I want) [Newcomers Category]

   

  12. Shega – “Një” (One)

   

  13. Gjergj Kaçinari – “Në ëndërr mbete ti” (You remain in dreams)

   

   

  14. Denis Skura – “Pse nuk flet, mama?” (Why don’t you talk, mum?)

   

  15. Endri & Stefi – “Triumfi i jetës” (The triumph of life)

   

  16. Janex – “Deluzional” (Delusional)

   

  17. Ronela Hajati – “Sekret” (Secret)

   

  18. Sajmir Çili – “Nën maskë” (Under the mask)

   

  19. Rezarta Smaja – “E jemja nuse” (The bride of mine)

   

  20. Alban Ramosaj – “Theje” (Crush)

   

  Among the 20 candidates were are six acts from the Newcomers Catefory, from which three acts were eliminated in this first semi final heat. The acts that had to leave the competition are: 

  • Kejsi Rustja – “Vallëzoj me ty” (I dance with you) 
  • Xhuliana Pjetra – “Baladë” (Ballad) 
  • Viola Xhemali – “Eja si erë” (Come as the wind) 

   

  Tomorrow evening the festival goes on with the second semi final show and the remaining 17 acts taking the stage for their second performance.
