Wednesday, 10 March 2021

  • The Australian Eurovision 2021 representative, Montaigne , has released the official music video of her entry for Rotterdam titled "Technicolour"

No longer after the Eurovision 2020 cancellation, SBS, was one of the first broadcasters to confirm their Eurovision 2021 representative, sticking with the country's ESC 2020 hopeful.

Montaigne's song is titled "Technicolour" and is an uptempo dance-pop song with lyrics that serve a fun and optimistic mood. It's a call for a spirtual party with the Australian act showcasing her vocal skills. No surprise at all if  we see this song's staging in Rotterdam Ahoy in a bright scenery flooded with colors and laser lights!

That is pretty much the case already on her latest Mardi Gras  performance that features the official music video of her Eurovision entry. As the the event was moved from the streets to a stadium in order to reduce a covid-19 impact, Australia's hopeful gave a special performance on stage.

The Australian 2021 entry has been penned and composed by Jessica Cerro and Dave Hammer with the second one being behind the production of the song.

Montaigne is set to compete in the first half of the 1st semi final on May 18, 2021 in Rotterdam Ahoy.

In 2019 , Kate Miller Heidke won the first national final to take place in the country and represented the land of Down Under at Tel Aviv with her song “Zero Gravity”. Kate achieved a 9th placing marking the country’s return back in the top 10.
