Bulgaria: Marvin Dietmann revealed as staging director for Victoria in Rotterdam

  • The Austrian artistic director Marvin Dietmann will work with VICTORIA on her staging concept for Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam.

    The internationally acclaimed  artistic director Marvin Dietmann is back for Bulgaria as the skilled professional was the Bulgarian choice for a staging director for "Tears Getting SobeR" in 2020 as well.

    Marvin Dietmann is a director, choreographer and creative professional, who has a lot of experience in the entertainment business. He is responsible for the winning staging concept for Conchita Wurst for Austria in 2014 and Cesar Sampson's 3rd place in 2018. Dietmann was also stage director at Eurovision 2015, 2017 and 2018 and Viewing room Director in 2019. 

    Already this year the experienced director has been assigned to direct the staging  for the Austrian, Spanish and Cypriot entry in Rotterdam. 

    VICTORIA shared some details about her preparation for the contest:

    "We are working non-stop with Marvin and I am really happy that we have such а talented director in our team. We worked together in 2020 on the staging for "Tears Getting Sober" and I was really impressed with him. His feedback helped us a lot with our final choice on the song with the biggest staging potential for Rotterdam 2021."

    This year's Bulgarian entry is chosen among six potential Eurovision entries for Victoria. Once all entries were relaesed music fans around the world had the opportunity to share their feedback about VICTORIA’s potential songs for Eurovision 2021 at Bulgaria2021.com.  The Bulgarian team also organized focus groups with music, TV and Eurovision experts, which had the opportunity to rate the following six songs: 

    1. Imaginary Friend
    2. Growing Up Is Getting Old
    3. Dive into Unknown
    4. Phantom Pain
    5. The Funeral Song
    6. Ugly Cry  

     

    Last night VICTORIA shared a "a little sneak peak" before the event on 10 March. The photo on Instagram and Twitter reveals a new hair style and was taken on the set of her music video for Eurovision 2021. The video will be premiered at the end of her 1-hour concert on 10 March. The concert will be aired at 21:00 CET on BNT 1 and will be streamed online on eurovision.icard.com and via VICTORIA’s official YouTube channel.
