Croatia: HRT confirms no return in Junior Eurovision 2021

The Croatian national broadcaster , HRT, has confirmed that the country will not be participating in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris.
Respondng to Eurofestivales the Croatian national broadcaster, HRT, confired that will not return to Junioe Eurovision this year in Paris. Although they didn't provide any further explanation about their decision in the past HRT had stated that due to the lack of budget the broadcaster can’t live up to the cost that a participation requires.
This will seventh edition in a row that Croatia will not be competing in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Croatia in Junior Eurovision
Croatia was among the 16 nations that participated in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision back in 2003 with Dino Jelusić who brought victory for the country with his entry “Ti si moja prva ljubav”. In 2007 they decided to withsraw the country and did not return until 2014 which was the last edition to see them compete in the contest.
In their lparticipation in Junior Eurovision in 2014 with Josie and the song “Game Over” in Malta, Croatia came last with 13 points.
