Eurovision 2021: Competing countries' Stand In rehearsals kick off in Rotterdam Ahoy

  • Competing countries' Stand in rehearsals kicked off today in Rotterdam Ahoy, one week before the delegates start off their on stage rehearsals.

    With the stage and arena fully shaped , lit up and in action the stand in rehearsals are underway in the Eurovision 2021 venue.  During Stand in rehearsals ,  are  simulation of  the staging appearance takes place for each one of the competing delegates, with the contribution of course by different performers and dancers, usually local artists.

    The purpose of the stand in rehearsals is double. From the organisers' angle, the contest's producers are able to improve and set up the arrangement for each entry according to the delegations' plan while the delegations have an early picutre of how their stage appearcane will appear on screen the night of the live show. This way the delegations are able to adjust their proposals if someting doesn't work out and introduce amendements to the organisers. 

    With the stand in rehearsals underway, the delegates' rehearsals begin on Saturday, May 8 with the full official rehearsal schedule already released.

    The next Eurovision song contest is just around the corner with more and more news from Rotterdam to pour in the next days. The live shows of this year's Eurovision are set to unfold over May 18, 20 and 22, 2021 in Rotterdam Ahoy, The Netherlands.
