Eurovision 2021 odds: Which entries are the bookies' favorites; France passes 2nd behind Malta
-
Like every year the bookies's predictions for which country will win the Eurovision trophy is one of the side factors on the road towards each contest. The most significant development is France which passed second behind Malta.
With all delegations in full steam making their final preparations just 41 days before the contest, the betting odds are reflecting a temporary but kind of clear picture of who the favorites are for this year's contest. Lets go an see which countries have an early lead on the betting odds board so far:
The top 5 favorites for victory
Comparing to last week's betting odds, Malta is still in the lead as Destiny is the bookie's favorite to win the 2021 contest. However she is followed close behind by France's Barbara Pravi who this week passed Gjon's Tears from Switzerland who has fallen in 3rd place. Meanwhile Italy continues to climb in the betting odds board as Maneskin threw Bulgaria's Victoria from the 4th place with the Bulgarian act fallin one place and is now 5th.
Places 6 to 10
No change in the place 6 to 8 as in the 6th place we find Tusse from Sweden and his song 'Voices" which is showing a steady perfromance in bets like as last week. Close behind follow Daði & Gagnamagnið from Iceland which gained recently a slight lead from Lithuania's hopeful the group The Roop in 8th place.
TIX from Norway managed to enter the top 10 places and is at the moment 9th, with Senhit from San Marino climbing further and closes the top 10 places. Notable that from last week Finland has been outed from the top 10 losing 4 places , along with Cyprus which last week was in the 10th place and lost two positions.

Which entries follow the top 10
Close to enter the top 10 places is Stefania from Greece who in the last days is gaining streadily positions in the bookies' preferences. Right behind is Elena Tsagrinou from Cyprus which has fallen two places since last week while the Finnish acts, Blind Channel, follow in 13th place. Russia lost one place and is found 14th with Romania gaining one position and is currently 15th.
The countries placed from 16 to 20th place are behind with the betting odds falling further down marking a wider gap from the ones above. You can see below all places from 11-20 :

Below you can check out all the rest placings on the betting odds board from 21-39:

The overall impression
Until all songs were out the board of betting odds saw up and downs for several countries and significant changes. With less than two months to go for the contest and with the pre parties cancelled this year we won't have many occassions in which the acts will perform live their songs. Thus major changes in the placings are not expected until rehearsals kick off and we start having a more clear impression on the staging of the 39 performances. Rehearsals have been always a major factor of influence for the betting odds, not only for the favorites to win, but for semi final qualifiers and the overall placings. However at the moment Malta, France and Italy seem to strengthening their positions with Sweden, Iceland and Lithuania staying steady.
But until we reach that turning point on the road to the live shows Destiny from Malta is still the bookie's queen for victory!
