Eurovision 2022: 41 countries to join the party in Turin

The EBU has confirmed that a total of 41 countries will be taking part in the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin in May 2022.
While in Rotterdam we saw 39 nations taking the stage in Rotterdam Ahoy, next year the competition will see Armenia and Montenegro back on board raising the number of participating countries next year in Turin to 41!
41 national broadcasters will be present in Turin next May and will be having their selected delegates on the stage in Pala Alpitour delivering their competing songs. Among them Norway's NRK will be completing their 60th participation in the contest while the Big-5 countries will have their 300th entry gracing stage.
36 countries will compete in the two semi finlas while 25 countries will make up the Grand final line-up. With the Big-5 countries ( Italy, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom and France) qualifying directly to the final, the 36 semifinalists will compete for 20 spots that are in stake for the Grand final.
Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, Martin Österdahl, stated about next year's participations:
"We are so excited that we once again have over 40 broadcasters competing to win the iconic Eurovision trophy in Turin next May.
The team from Rai are working hard on preparations to welcome all the delegations to a new Host City and ensuring the Eurovision Song Contest will provide the excitement and state-of-the-art spectacle expected by nearly 200 million viewers."
Namely the national broadcasters that will be competing in the next edition of the contest are the following:

Simona Martorelli and Claudio Fasulo from Italian broadcaster Rai added:

The 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place at Pala Alpitour in Turin on May 10,12 and 14, 2022.
