The lunch break is over and it's time to brun some calories with Austria's party anthem of 'We will rave' sung by Kaleen. We have one more costume change alert in this act!
Kaleen has replaced the black sparkly leotard and matching boots with the same style of outfit but she's gone more silver as she is wearing a skin colored with sliver patterns on it outfit. Her backing dancers, howver, remain in black.

First rehearsals impressions (Big 5 and Sweden)
United Kingdom - Olly Alexander (Dizzy)
photo credit: Sarah Louise Bennett/ EBU
The United Kingdom opens the first rehearsals for the Big-5 countries with Olly Alexander literally making us dizzy to follow up his staging of 'Dizzy'.
Warning before watching might need to take some kind of nausea pill! Olly is wearing a sleeveless t-shirt with red trousers while his four backing dancers are shirtless with red boxing shorts.
The song unfolds in a dirty lockers room environment with Olly interacting through the song with his dancers. The camera angle changes from one point to another making the whole room seem it's rotating. If you find yourselves upside down trying to follow up..... don't wonder.

Next country from the Big-5 to take the stage is Germany with Isaak performing 'Always in the run'. Isaak secured his spot in the 68th Eurovision line-up afrer winning the German national final Das Deutsche Finale back in February.
Isaak performs his song wearing a black suit in a stylish living room. The stage feature a metalic structure that forms an overall set up of a house in which he can be seen from all sides. As the song progresses the pyro effect is been used in a wide scale as if the whole house is on fire. Impressive picture but are we show we don't need to call the fire brigade with all the fire??

Sweden - Marcus & Martinus (Unforgettable)
The hosting nation's representative are up next for their first rehearsal as Marcus & Martinus are ready to give us an 'Uforgettable' performance which will open the Grand final show.
The staging is pretty much what we saw back in the victorious Melodifestivalen in March. The two twin brothers appear in their blue and black outfits and four backing singers accompany them on stage. The song initially unwinds in a box area while the second half takes places in the front part of the stage.
The bigger cubes the more intense lighting along with neon lights on the LED screen contribute to an elevated staging marking a perfect way to begin the Grand final show. By the end of it we don't think anyone will be still sitting in theie seats.

The Big-5 first rehearsal continue with the Spanish delegates , Nebulossa, on stage to rehearse their song 'Zorra'. Nebulossa earned their spot in Eurovision 2024 after winning the Spanish national selection of Benidorm Fest back in January this year.
It's time to bring the discoball on stage, the 80's spirit in the arena and the Rafaella Cara vibes on screen! This song is about fighting discrimination that hold back women. The performance is pretty much like the one we watched on Benidorm Fest stage with the iconic circular sofa taking it's place on Malmo Arena's stage.
Big size pulsing projections of 'Zorra' on the cubes and oversized lyrics on the LED screen behind while what a more impressive way to honor women than the most aisthetic capture of female beauty than that of 'Afrodite's sculpture of Milos'.
Mery is dress in a black body suit with flarry 70's style trouses with fluffy sized shoulders. The two backing dancers are with her on stage initially wearing black suit which they take of to unveil a bare chest appearance with string type corsets paired with black PVC high boots.

Italy - Angelina Mango (La Noia)
This long day of rehearsals concludes with Italy's hopeful on stage and Angelina Mango rehearsing for the first time 'La Noia'. Angelina made her way to Malmo after triumphing in Sanremo Festival 2024 in early February.
La Noia which in English translates boredom, is a song that brings along everything but that. The mixture of Italian and American rap along with the instrumental music of the song leave us an uplifting optimistic sensation on how to overlook things.
Angelina is wearing a red sparkly corset with plant looking patterns covering her hands and legs, while the four female dancers' outfits have the same patterns but on a nude-kind skin colored substrate without the corset.
The staging is dominated by a floral forest background displayed on the LED screens while the cubes are been lowered. Angelina is appears on a throne which is also made of tree branches. A very colorful and vivid scenery on stage which along with Angelina's energetic interpretation scatters the slightest idea of boredomness.
