Sunday, 05 May 2024

  • The Eurovision 2024 organisers have revealed the interval acts of the Semi-Final 1 show in Malmo Arena on May 7, 2024.

The EBU and Sweden's SVT are aiming this year to bring on the screen a spectacular show in both all three live events of this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden.

Within this framework the organisers have confirmed the interval acts for the semi-final 1 show and we can say it's going to be excitng.

The previous days Johnny Logan, the Irish twice winner of the contest, in 1981 and 1987 is returning on the Eurovision stage this time as Inrerval act during the Semi-final one show. Johnny Logan will  be delivering on stage the Swedish winning song of 2012, Loreen's  'Euphoria'

In addition three more iconic Eurovision stars from the more recent years have been confirmed for the interval act to open the show called 'United by Music'. Namely Sweden's representative back in 2011 Eric Saade with the song 'Popular', 2018's runner up Eleni Foureira singing 'Fuego' for Cyprus and the Spanish entrant in 2022 in Turin Chanel with her song 'SloMo' which finished 3rd, will be gracing the stage during the semi-final one.

Edward Af Sillén, director and scriptwriter of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 stated in the interval acts:

We want to kickstart this year’s edition with a big pop number that showcases Sweden’s immense love for this competition and demonstrates how we are all United by Music. Three fantastic live artists from every corner of Eurovision, who may not have won the gold, but who won the hearts of the audience. This number is set to raise the bar for the entire week, and we hope the audience will love it.

The three iconing Eurovision stars will be delivering their past Eurovision entries and they will have in their disposal, apart from all the lighting, the pyro eeffects and the LED screens a total of 24 backing dancers to contribute in this interval act.

Can't wait to see on stage the energetic performances of the three past Eurovision participants who may have not won the contest but are among the most popular acts of the fandom.
