Finland: Watch tonight the UMK 2021 national final

  • The Finnish national final, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021, which will determine the country's  Eurovision 2021 representative is set to hit the screen tonight at 20:00 CET. 

    Like previous year's Finland will be selecting their Eurovision hopeful through the traditional national selection format of UMK 2021. The event is set to take place live at the Mediapolis Studios in Tampere. Host of the show will be  Antti Tuisku who will also open the show taking the stage along with last year's UMK 2021 runner up, Erika Vikman.

    The Finnish national final  will see a total of 7 acts competing for the right to represent the country in Rotterdam in the following running order: 

    1. Teflon Brothers x Pandora - "I Love You"
    2. Aksel - "Hurt"
    3. Laura - "Play"
    4. Danny -“Sinä päivänä kun kaikki rakastaa mua”  ( The day when everyone loves me)
    5. Oskr -"Lie"
    6. Blind Channel - "Dark Side"
    7. Ilta -"Kelle mä soitan" Kelle mä soitan"(Who will i call)

     

    The outcome of final will be determined by a combination of public voting and the International juries points. However, the public will have more influence on the result, as the International jury will  give out only the 25% of the total points awarded. The International juries points will come from the following countries: 

    • Iceland
    • Spain
    • Switzerland
    • The Netherlands
    • United Kingdom
    • United States
    • Poland

    In this year's edition viewers  have a choice of commentary in Finnish, English, Russian and Swedish. The show begins at 20:00 CET and you can watch it HERE
