Israel: 'Israel Calling 2023' Pre-Party set for April 3

• The Israeli Eurovision Pre-party event 'Israel Calling' is set this year for April 3, 2023. 

  Following the national selection season and with all 37 participating entries determined, it's time for the Eurovision pre-party season to start, with several fan pre-party events taking place across Europe. 

  Israel Calling will be coming back for its 5th edition this year, celebrating also the 50 years of participation for Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest. 

  The delegates will start arriving in Israel from April 2 onwards and will have the chance to tour around in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem while the main event will be taking place on April 3  in Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv. Hangar 11 was the location of  used of the Euroclub when Tel Aviv hosted Eurovision 2019.

  The show will be presented by Dafna Dekel, the Israeli Eurovision 1992 act  and Sigal Shachmon, who was one of the hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest back in  1999 in Jerusalem. 

  Until now only five contestants confirmed their participation in "Israel Calling 2023". Namely the acts that will perform in Tel Aviv on April 3 are: 

  • Ireland – Wild Youth- We Are One
  • Latvia – Sudden Lights- Aijā
  • Malta – The Busker- Dance (Our Own Party)
  • Slovenia – Joker Out- Carpe Diem
  • Spain – Blanca Paloma- Eaea

   

  Initiator and producer of "Israel Calling" Tali Eshkoli stated: 

  "I am beyond excited to bring ‘Israel Calling’ Eurovision promo concert back to Israel once again. The show – which has already become a joyful tradition of an international musical celebration – is highly anticipated by Eurovision fans from Israel and across Europe.

  This year, the show will mark the celebration of 50 years of Israeli participation in Eurovision – a unifying celebration and an exciting landmark for every Israeli, especially in these difficult times.

  As in every year, artists, delegations, journalists and bloggers from all over Europe will attend the show, and get to know the unique Israeli experience up close and personal. I am glad to have another opportunity to present our beautiful country, our rich culture and the warm Israelis to the European artists and media, and consider this a true calling. I invite the loving Israeli audience to join the international Eurovision celebration! I welcome you to come and sing, dance and celebrate with the Eurovision Family.

  Tickets for the show are scheduled to go on sale on Sunday 26 March 2023.
