Israel: KAN reveals the vote breakdown of 'HaShir HaBa L'Eurovizion'

  • The Israeli broadcaster, KAN,  has revealed the percentage breakdown of votes of the song selection 'HaShir HaBa L'Eurovizion' which crowned winner the entry "Set Me Free".

    'Set me free" was the song selected for Eden Alene in last Monday's song selection show 'HaShir HaBa L'Eurovizion'. "Set me Free " litterally triumpeed in the voting winning the selection with a large margin. 

    KAN revealed the percentage breakdown and the numbers showing the landslide victory for 'Set Me Free', as the song received 70% of the 43.461 votes cast via KAN's application. 

    The full voting results of the song selection developed as following: 

    1. Set Me Free — 71.3%
    2. La La Love — 17.2%
    3. Ue La La — 11.5%

    Eden Alene will be performing her entry in the first semi final on May 18, 2020 in Rotterdam Ahoy. 

     

    A FEW WORDS FOR EDEN ALENE

    Alene was born in Jerusalem to parents who immigrated from Ethiopia. In October 2017, she participated in the third season of Israeli reality show The X Factor Israel. At the first audition, she sang "Stone Cold" by Demi Lovato. In January 2018 she won the season finale.

    In 2018 she released her firsr single entitled "Better" while in 2019 followed two more singles, the cover single"Save Your Kisses for Me" and secondly"When It Comes to You"

    Last year the Eden won the HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion talent show , the format chosen to determine the Israeli Eurovision 2020 hopeful. In a song national final the song "Feker Libi" was selected as Eden's entry for Rotterdam. Unfortunately the cancellation of the contest interrupted Eden's Eurovision journey .

    However Eden Alene will have the chance to reach her Eurovision destination next May performing in Rotterdam the song "Set Me Free".
