Israel: X-Factor chair challenge results for the Girls team

  • Israel gears up to seek for its next Eurovision hopeful as X-factor leaves the auditions stage behind and moves on to Chair Challenge stage with the Girls team. 

    After 19 episodes of auditions, from 67 qualifiers the four judges shorlisted 32 acts to form four groups. At this stage the judges will reduce the acts of their team from eight to four which will take one of the four chairs avaliable for each team.

    The first group to take the stage for the Chair Challenge is Aviv Geffen's Girls Team formed by: Shira Atias, Neta Elkelsi (TOOSHA), Inbal Bibi , Abigail Moyal, Ruth Hatuma , Sapir Saban , Anna Stephanie and Gaydaa Abu Awad.

     

    The four gilrs that made it through to the next stage are the following:

     

    Gaydaa -"Alesh" (Shlomo Artzi & Shimon Buskila)

    Anna Stephanie - "The Sound of Silence" (Simon and Garfunkel)

     

    Inbal Bibi - "Killing Me Softly" (Roberta Flack)

     

    Sapir Shaban - "Ruach Yam" (Ofer Levy)

    How will the ESC 2022 hopeful and song be determined

    After a number of auditions and shows, once the semi final is held and the four finalists are determined on Channel 13, a second semi final will take place in order to determine the songs the four finalists will perform in the X-factor final show. Each of the four candidates will have to perform two songs selected out of the songs sent in during the submission period. In this parallel semifinal show one of the two candidate songs will be chosen for each of the four finalists. 

    Thus, the final of X-factor will see the four finalists perform the song chosen in the side semi final show while the final winner will secure the right to represent Israel in Turin at Eurovision 2022.
