Kazakhstan: Junior Eurovision 2021 act to be determined via a national final on November 6

  • Kazakhstan has announced that they will be holding a national final on November 6, in order to determine their Junior Eurovision 2021 representative. 

    During a press conference today held at he headquarters of the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan it was confirmed that Kazakhstan will be selecting its Junior Eurovision 2021 act through a national final show set for November 6, 2021. 

    The press conferences attended the following people:

    • Khamit ShangalievThe composer of Kazakh Junior Eurovision entries in 2019 and 2020
    • Yerzhan MaximKazakhstan's Junior Eurovision 2019 representative
    • Karakat Bashanova Kazakhstan's Junior Eurovision 2020 act

    Khabar has released the rules and regulations of the upcoming national final and interested acts should send in their applications until October 6, 2021

    Once the submission period concludes the submitted entries will be reviewed and from October 8 until 12 an online voting will take place. The final outcome of the selection will be determined through the national final show on November 6. 

     

    Kazakhstan in Junior Eurovision 

    Kazakhstan debuted at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 after EBU’s invitation to broadcaster, Khabar Agency, to join the contest. The country was represented by the national final winner,  Daneliya Tuleshova and her entry “Ózińe sen” which finished in 5th place at the competition held in Minsk, Belarus. 

    In 2019 12-year-old Yerzhan Maksim defended the Kazakh colors in Gliwice- Silesia in Poland and after delivering a stunning vocally performance of his entry, Armanyńnan Qalma achieved to top the jury voting and finish 2nd ion the overall scoreboard.

    Last year Karakat Bashanova won the national final and represented the country with her song 'Forever' in Warsaw, Poland  achieving to finish 2nd with 152 points in the overall score.
