Lithuania: The five qualifiers of the 1st round of Pabandom iš naujo 2021

The first heat of the Lithuanian national selection, Pabandom iš naujo 2021, was broadcast this evening determining the first five qualifiers.

A total of 10 acts compete in this first qualifying round, the performances of which have been prerecorded ahead of the broadcast.

The ten acts that we saw take to the stage along with the points (public +jury) and their placing they are below:

1. Black Spikes & Indrė Launikonytė - "Don't Tell Me" (4points + 8 pts) 6th place

2. Thomukas - "Wish" ( 2pts +1 points ) 10th place

3. Be U - "Love Yourself" (6pts + 7pts) 5th place

4. Voldemars Petersons - "I Never Fall for You Again" (12 pts +6pts) 1st place

5. Martyna Jezepčikaitė - "Thank You Very Much" (5pts +12 pts ) 3rd place

6. Donata Virbilaitė - "The Way I Am" (7pts +3 pts) 7th place

7. Twosome -"I Love My Bear" (2pts + 2pts ) 9th place

8. Milita Daikerytė - "Shadows" ( 10pts + 5pts) 4th place

9. Aldegunda - "Sit Down" ( 3pts +4pts) 8th place

10. Titas & Benas -"No" ( 8pts +10 pts) 2nd place

Therefore the 5 acts that qualified after the results were counte are:
- Voldemars Petersons
- Titas & Benas
- Martyna Jezepčikaitė
- Milita Daikerytė
- Be U
All five qualifying spots were detemined by public and jury voting (50% - 50% ) with the jury formed by the following members:
- Ramunas Zilnys (LRT editor in chief)
- Jievaras Jasinkis (Composer)
- Vytautas Bikus ( songwriter/composer)
- Ieva Narkute (Peformer)
- Aistė Smilgevičiūtė ( Lithuania ESC 1999 act)
The jury's votes had been cast prior the show while the public had the chance to watch the candidates perform live their songs and influence the result with their vote. Voldemars Petersons came first in this evening's qualifying round with his song "I Never Fall for You Again" which you can listen in the following video:
