Malta: The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022 Semi-Final Qualifiers

The 16 acts that will take part in the Maltese national final of 'Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022' have been determined with the semi-final show.
PBS is selecting their Eurovision 2022 hopeful via the national final 'Malta Eurovision Song Contest', which successes the X-factor show which was used to select the country's representative since 2019.
The national selection includes one semi final round and a Grand final show. A total of 22 acts competed in the semifinal while 16 contestants secured a spot the Grand final show:
The 16 acts that made it to the final are:
- Nicole Hammett – A lover’s heart
- Janice Mangion –Army
- Denise Mercieca – Boy
- Matt BLXCK – Come Around
- Baklava Ft Nicole – Electric Indigo
- Sarah Bonnici – Heaven
- Richard Micallef – Hey Little
- Norbert Bondin – How special you are
- Nicole Azzopardi – Into The Fire
- Miriana Conte – Look what you’ve done now
- Emma Muscat – Out of Sight
- Raquel Galdes Briffa – Over You
- Jade Vella – REVELACIÓN
- Aidan Cassar – Ritmu
- Mark Anthony Bartolo – Serenity
- Enya Magri – Shame
Therefore the ones that were eliminated:
- Francesca Sciberras – Rise
- Derrick Schembri – II
- Jessica Grech – Aphrodisiac
- Rachell Lowell – White Doves
- Malcolm Pisani – We came for love
- Jessica Muscat – Kaleidoscope
One more round of public voting will determine one wildcard that will complete the final line-up. The outcome of the final set for this Saturday, February 19, 2022, will be determined by a combination of public and jury voting (50% each).
