  • The Maltese Eurovision 2021 hopeful, Destiny, has released a symphonic version of her Eurovision 2021, "Je Me Casse".

While the next Eurovision Song Contest is around the corner, all delegates are in full steam preparing their teams in order to be ready in the best way for the live shows in Rotterdam.

With most of the pre parties cancelled due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic the competing acts don't have many opportunities to promote their entries and showcase their talent before the live shows. However, they have other means to reach the fans via online events and interviews and special releases of alternative versions of their songs.

Malta's representative, Destiny, has released a symphonic version of her Eurovision song  "Je Me Casse" . The Maltese entry has been composed and written by  Malin Christin, Amanuel Dermont, Nicklas Eklund and Pete Barringer.

Just a couple of weeks before the Maltese hopeful  signed with the giant record label of the music industry, Sony Music, a global deal  for her Eurovision Song Contest 2021 song, "Je Me Casse" while  in less than four weeks, Je Me Casse was watched more than three million times on Youtube and streamed over 550,000 times on Spotify.

With the bookies predicting her as the winner of the 65th Eurovision Song Contest, Destiny is set to perform in the last place (16th) of the first semi final on May 18, in Rotterdam.

    A few words about Destiny

In 2017, she took part in series 11 of Britain’s Got Talent and finished 6th in the Semi-Final and thus was eliminated. In 2019, Chukunyere appeared on the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 stage in Tel Aviv, Israel as Michela Pace’s backing vocalist for her song, “Chameleon”. The song qualified for the final, finishing in 14th place with 107 points. In February this year she won the X-factor Malta talent show as a contestant in the Girls category, mentored by Ira Losco.

The 18 year old act won on February 9 the X-factor Malta talent show and earned the right to represent the country in the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Destiny’s entry “All Of My Love” is written by the Symphonix International team, Bernarda Brunovic, Borislav Milanov, Sebastian Arman, Dag Lundberg, Joacim Persson and Cesar Sampson.
