Moldova: Listen to Natalia Gordienko's Eurovision 2021 entry “Sugar

  • Moldova's Eurovision 2021 representative, Natalia Gordienko, has released the song she will be performing in Rotterdam, titled "Sugar".

    During an impressive event held in Moscow's Crave Theater, Natalia Gordienko, presented the music video of "Sugar" releasing officially her Eurovision 2021 entry. 

    The music event was honored by many East European Eurovision stars among which Polina Gagarina (Russia 2015), Ani Lorak (Ukraine 2008),  Dima Bilan (Russia 2006 & 2008), Tolmachevy Sisters (Russia 2014)  and Belarus' ESC 2007 act, Dmitry Koldun.

    Natalia's song gathers behind it the so called 'Dream Team' members. Namely the music is signed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Philipp Kirkorov, the lyrics have been penned by Sharon Vaughn, while the artistic director is Fokas Evaggelinos. The team completes Victoria Chalkiti as the vocal coach and the Project manager Ilias Kokotos.

    During this evening's event the Moldovan act made a special tribute to the Dream Team's contributions in the Eurovision Song Contest  by performing the successful past entries in which the members of the Dream Team were in some way involved. Namely Natalia performed the following entries:

    • My Number One – Greece 2005 (staging by Fokas Evagelinos)
    • Work Your Magic – Belarus 2007 (staging by F.Evagelinos, composed by P. Kirkorov, D.Kontopoulos)
    • Shady Lady – Ukraine 2008 (staging by F. Evagelinos, composed by P. Kirkorov, D.Kontopoulos)
    • Hold Me – Azerbaijan 2013 (staging by F. Evagelinos, composer D.Kontopoulos)
    • You Are The Only One – Russia 2016 (staging by F. Evagelinos, composition by P. Kirkorov, D.Kontopoulos)
    • My Lucky Day – Moldova 2018 (staging by F. Evagelinos, composition by P. Kirkorov, D.Kontopoulos)

     

    The official music video of "Sugar" has been directed by Katya Tsarik, who was behind Ani Lorak's Shady Lady  music video.
