Norway: Kaja Rode releases her MGP 2021 entry

  • One more entry of the Melodi Grand Prix 2021 pre-qualified finalists has gone public, as Kaja Rode has released her song for the Norwagian ESC 2021 national final titled "Feel Again" .

    Kaja Rode is one of the the six acts that have pre-qualified to the Grand final of Melodi Grand Prix 2021, the show that will determine the Norwegian hopeful for Eurovision 2021. 

    Following the previous releases of the entries of the first three prequalified acts, KEiiNO , TIX and  Stavangerkameratene today it was Kaja Rode's turn to release her entry for Melod Grand Prix 2021.

     

    Kaja Rode: «Feel Again»

    Kaja Rode is a 22-year-old singer born in Oslo. She participated in Norwegian The Voice in 2017, where she made all the judges turn around at the blind audition. She grew up in Ulsteinvik in Western Norway and attended music specialization at the Volda High School. Despite her young age, Kaja has performed on many stages and has extensive experience performing at various events. She is inspired by artists such as Sam Smith, John Legend and Sia, and is also inspired by many Norwegian artists. 

    Kaja studies Retail Management and works with songwriting. She is excited to be pre-qualified at MGP, in a collaboration with songwriters who came to be through NRK and MGP. This has resulted in a song that really shows us who the artist Kaja Rode is.

    Ahead of Saturday's third semi final, the four acts that will compete in the 3rd heat of Melodi Grand Prix 2021 were unveiled earlier in the week: 

    1.  Ole Hatz - “Vi er Norge” 

    2. Big Daddy Karsten - "Smile"

    3.  Dinaye – "Own Yourself"

    4.  Emmy – Witch Woods

     

    MGP 2021 dates

    The Norwegian national selection commenced on January 16 with the first semi final show and continues to unfold over six weeks, concluding on February 20 with the Grand final.

    This is  the Melodi Grand Prix 2021 schedule:
