Norway: Farida wins the second semi-final ticket to the MGP 2022 Grand final

  • The second semi final of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 took place this evening determining  one more finalist, with Farida  winning the second ticket to the the Grand final.

    The Norwegian national selection continued this evening with the second semi final round live on NRK. No audience attended the event while The show was hosted by Kåre Magnus Bergh accompanied by two new presenters on board, Annika Momrak and Mikkel Niva.

    The 2nd semi final saw a total of four acts competing in two duels. The winner of each duel moved on to a Gold Duel from which the winner won the ticket to the Grand final show set to take place on February 19. 

    The duels that we saw on stage tonight were: 

     

    Duel 1

     

    1. Lily Lowe– "Bad Baby"

     

    2. Stefen Jakobsen– "With me Tonight" (WINNER)

     

    The public voting sent Stefen Jakobsen to the Gold Duel round. 

     

    Duel 2

    1. Farida– "Dangerous" (WINNER)

     

    2. Daniel Lucas– "Kvelertak"

     

    Farida wins the second duel and progresses to the God Duel round.

     

    Gold Duel

     

    Stefen Jakobsen– "With me Tonight"

                                                VS

    Farida– "Dangerous" (WINNER)

     

    Farida won the battle against Stefan as is off to the Grand final of the national selection. The outcome of the night was determined by public voting exclusively. The contestants who did not make it through will have one more try during the Second Chance round on February 12.  

    In addition, apart form the contestants the stage took this evening the first of the five prequalified MGP 2022 finalists. Namely the act that presented her song was:

    Christian Ingebrigtsen - "Wonder Of The World" 

     

    The Norwegian national selection continues next Saturday evening, Jannuary 29 with the Melodi Grand Prix 2022 third semi-final.
