Norway: Maria Mohn wins the last spot in the Melodi Grand Prix 2022 final

  • Maria Mohn won the second chance round of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 and completed the Grand final line-up of the Norwegian national selection. 

    The second chance semi final took place this evening determining the last place in next week's Grand final show of Melodi Grand Prix 2022. Kåre Magnus Bergh, accompanied by two new presenters on board, Annika Momrak and Mikkel Niva, hosted the show 

    Four acts out of the semifinalists that didn't qualify through the first four semi-final heats were selected via an on online voting to compete this evening's second chance round. 

     

    The four acts will thatcompetd in today's second chance heat were: 

     

    TrollfesT –“Dance Like a Pink Flamingo”

     

    Mari Bølla – “Your Loss”

     

    Kim Wigaard – “La melodia”

     

    Maria Mohn – “Fly”

     

    From the four competing acts two of them, Maria Mohn and TrollfesT went into a gold duel the winner of which was Maria securing her place in next Saturday's Grand final show. 

    In addition the fifth and last prequalified act  Anna-Lisa Kumoji presented her MGP entry  Queen Bees.

     

    Therefore with this evening's results the Grand final line-up was completed and the 10 acts to compete for the ticket to Turin are:

    • Christian Ingebrigtsen – Wonder of the World
    • NorthKid – Someone
    • Subwoolfer – Give That Wolf A Banana
    • Anna-Lisa Kumoji – Queen Bees
    • Frode Vassel – Dangerous
    • Oda Gondrosen – Hammer of Thor
    • Sofie Fjellvang – Made of Glass
    • Maria Mohn – “Fly”

    The Grand final show of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 will be taking place on Saturday, February 19, 2022
