Norway: Oda Gondrosen wins the third semi-final ticket to the MGP 2022 Grand final

  • The third semi final of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 took place in Norway determining one more finalist, with Oda Gondrosen  winning the third ticket to the the Grand final.

    The Norwegian national selection continued this evening with the third semi final round live on NRK. No audience attended the event while The show was hosted  by Kåre Magnus Bergh accompanied by two new presenters on board, Annika Momrak and Mikkel Niva.

    The 3rd semi final saw a total of four acts competing in two duels. The winner of each duel moved on to a Gold Duel from which the winner won the ticket to the Grand final show set to take place on February 19. 

    The duels that we saw on stage tonight were: 

     

    First Duel

     

    1.Mari Bølla – "Your Loss"

     

    2.Oda Gondrosen – "Hammer Of Thor" (WINNER)

     

     

    The public vote sends Oda Gondrosen to the Gold Duel round after winning Mari Bolla. 

     

     

    Second Duel

     

    1.Sturla – "Skår i hjertet"

     

     

     

    2.Vilde – "Titans" (WINNER)

    Vilde won the duel against Sturla and progressed to the Gold Duel round. 

     

    Gold Duel 

    The winners of the previous two duels took the stage once again and performed their entries aiming to win the public vote that will send them to the Grand final.

    Oda Gondrosen won the battle against Vilda as is off to the Grand final of the national selection. The outcome of the night was determined by public voting exclusively. The contestants who did not make it through will have one more try during the Second Chance round on February 12.  

    In addition, apart form the contestants the stage took this evening the first of the five prequalified MGP 2022 finalists. Namely the act that presented her song were:

     

    NorthKid - "Someone"

     

    The Norwegian national selection for Eurovision 2022 continues next Saturday with the fourh semi-final of Melodi Grand Prix 2022. 

    • January 15 – Semi-Final One
    • January 22 – Semi-Final Two
    • January 29 – Semi-Final Three
    • February 5 – Semi-Final Four
    • February 12 – Second Chance Round
    • February 19 – Grand Final
