Russia: The music video of Tanya Mezhentseva's JESC 2021 entry 'Mon ami' released

  • The music video of the Russian Junior Eurovision 2021 entry, 'Mon ami' that Tanya Mezhentseva will be performing in Paris has been released.

    With the 19th edition of Junior Eurovision 18 days away the Russian representative, Tanya Mezhentseva , released the official music video of her entry "Mon ami"

    The music video has been directed by Alexei Golubev who worked also with the Russian team at the Eurovision Song Contest on several occasions. He was behind the staging of Polina Gagarina's  “A Million Voices” in 2015, while in 2017 he was the creator of the staging for the entry “I Won’t Break”. In addition he was responsible for the staging of the Russian Junior Eurovision entries in 2018 and 2019 and the Kazakh entry in 2018.

    The music video itself  is quite impressive with a total of 120 dancers from across Russia taking part in it.  

    Tanya will deliver her entry on the stage of 'La Seine Musicale' in Paris having four dancers on her side. Namely Darya Kirillova, Masha Gavrilova, Stas Polyakov, and Maximus will be accompanying Tanya during her performance of 'Mon Ami'. All dancers come from FOT Family a dance studio that has collaborated with TV channels and shows across Russia in several productions. 

     

    A few words for Tanya

    Tatyana (Tanya) Mezhentseva was born on December 9th, 2009 in Moscow. She has been singing since the age of 4 and her music skills go beyond singing as she also knows to plays piano and flute. Also she dances, and does aerial gymnastics.

    Tanya is returning on the Junior Eurovision stage for a second time after her participation in Gliwice-Silesia at JESC 2019, as member of the duo with  Denberel Oorzhak performing the song A Time For Us , which finished in the 13th place with 72 points.

     

    Russia in Junior Eurovision 

    Russia debuted at the competition in 2005 and has all years achieved to finish in the top 10 places.  The country has won twice the contest , in 2006 with the Tolmachevy Sisters who performed "Vesenniy Jazz" and 2017 with Polina Bogusevich singing "Wings". In 2019 the country was represented in Gliwice by Tatyana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak with the song “A Time For Us”  which ended at 13th place with 72 points.

    Last year, Sofia Feskova won the national selection and represented the country in Warsaw with her song 'My New Day' which finished 10th with 88 points in total.
